Subscription Finder Terms of Service.

Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Subscription Finder within the Shopify Shop app (the “Mini” or the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

Note: Nothing in these Terms is legal advice. You should consult your own legal counsel before relying on this document.


2. Shop Mini Disclosures

Subscription Finder runs as a Shop Mini inside the Shopify Shop app. We:

  • Only request scopes needed for core functionality (currently including product_list:write, and possibly additional product or shop scopes in the future).
  • Use the data available through these scopes solely to help you discover subscription products and, where applicable, save or unsave products within the Shop app.
  • Do not access your Shop account credentials, payment details, or complete shopping history.
  • Do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

If we add new scopes or capabilities in the future, we will update these Terms and the Privacy Policy to explain how they are used.


3. Relationship to Shopify

Subscription Finder is provided by PayWhirl Inc. and is not created by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Shopify Inc. or its affiliates.

  • Your use of the Shop app itself is also governed by Shopify’s own terms and privacy policy.
  • Shopify is not responsible for this Mini or any obligations described in these Terms.
  • Any purchases you make are between you and the independent merchants whose products are displayed in Shop.

4. Description of Service

Subscription Finder helps you:

  • Discover products that are available with subscription or recurring payment options in the Shop app.
  • Filter and explore subscription-enabled products from participating merchants.
  • Optionally save or unsave products using Shop’s built-in saved/favorites functionality (via product_list:write).

Subscription Finder does not:

  • Sell products directly to you.
  • Process your payments.
  • Guarantee that any product, price, or availability information is accurate or up to date. Those are controlled by the merchants and by Shopify.

5. Eligibility and Access

To use the Service, you must:

  • Have access to the Shopify Shop app and any required underlying accounts.
  • Be old enough to use the Shop app under its own terms in your region.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations where you live.

If you are using the Service on behalf of another person or entity, you confirm you have authority to do so.


6. Acceptable Use

When using Subscription Finder, you agree that you will:

  • Use the Service only for its intended purpose: discovering subscription products and related recommendations.
  • Follow all rules and policies that apply to the Shop app and to Shopify’s platforms.
  • Refrain from interfering with or degrading the operation of the Service or the Shop app.

You must not:

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or exploit the Mini or its underlying code.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scraping against the Mini in a way that overloads or abuses the Service.
  • Use the Service to violate any law or infringe any third-party rights.

7. Product Information and Third-Party Services

  • Product details (titles, images, prices, availability, subscription terms, and similar) come from third-party merchants and the Shopify ecosystem.
  • We do not control, guarantee, or endorse any products or merchants shown in the Service.
  • Any purchase, cancellation, refund, or customer support for products you buy is handled by the relevant merchant and/or Shopify, not by PayWhirl Inc..

8. Intellectual Property

  • The Mini, including its user interface, design, code, and recommendation logic, is owned by PayWhirl Inc. or its licensors.
  • Logos, product images, trademarks, and brand names shown in the Mini are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification or functional purposes only.
  • You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service within the Shop app. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute the Service beyond what is allowed by these Terms and applicable law.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law:

  • We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
  • We do not guarantee that any recommendation or search result will meet your needs or that subscription products will be available or suitable for your specific use.
  • We do not provide financial, legal, or professional advice. Any decision to purchase a subscription product is entirely your responsibility.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PayWhirl Inc. and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claims related to the Service will not exceed the amount you have paid us for the Service in the last 3 months, if any / $0 if the Service is free..

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations; in those places, some of the above may not apply, and our liability will be limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.


11. Termination

We may suspend or stop providing the Service at any time, with or without notice, including if:

  • You violate these Terms or any applicable law; or
  • We decide to change, discontinue, or restrict the Service for business or security reasons.

If your access ends, sections that by their nature should continue (for example, Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law) will remain in effect.


12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top. In some cases, we may also highlight changes in the Mini or via other reasonable means.

If you continue to use the Service after updated Terms are posted, you are agreeing to the new Terms.


13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the state of California to resolve any dispute arising from or relating to the Service or these Terms.
